Multi-platinum singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes announces his first-ever headlining arena world tour for 2017. The 44 announced Illuminate World Tour dates will kick off in the U.K. on April 27th, running through August 23rd in Boston, MA with many more dates yet to be announced.
The North American leg of the arena tour will begin July 6th and will make stops in major cities across the U.S. and Canada, including a night at Los Angeles’ legendary Staples Center. Tickets for the general public go on sale beginning Friday, September 16th in Europe and Saturday, September 17th in North America, American Express® Card Members will have access to purchase tickets in advance beginning Monday, September 12th.
The upcoming album Illuminate features Shawn’s hit lead single “Treat You Better.” This is Shawn’s second Top 10 single on Billboard’s Hot 100 after “Stitches.” Shawn released three additional songs from Illuminate: “Mercy,” “Ruin,” and “Three Empty Words,”
