To start off the April 8th episode, Phil told remaining teams they were to travel over the border to Georgia for the seventh round of The Amazing Race.

The seven teams left fighting for first place, hopped on a midnight train that headed North to their next destination. The train would bring them to this ancient country that’s placed in between Europe and Asia.

The train ride gave teams some downtime to relax with one another. Blair and Brodie took advantage of this time and got to know each other a little more.

“Blair is a super-cute girl. We’ve talked about seeing each other outside the Race, so there is a little bit of a connection there,” Brodie said.

After their early morning arrival in the capital city of Tbilisi, teams were to find their next clue at the statue of St. George. They took taxis through the old cobblestoned town in order to get to the statue standing in Freedom Square.

Brodie & Kurt were first to arrive at the statue, followed by Tyler & Korey. The clue noted for them to go to the Narikala Fortress, which sat high on a hill and overlooked the city.

While teams ahead of Dana & Matt rode taxis up the steep hill, the couple got dropped off at the base of the hill. They followed a sign for the fortress alongside of a long flight of stairs and began to climb up.

Scott & Blair also came across issues when their taxi went head-on with another car, which forced them to continue by foot.

Once teams reached the top, they headed back down in a gondola, giving them a beautiful view of city from up above. Teams then headed to the historic structure called Jvari Monastery, to find another clue.

Tyler & Korey replaced the frisbee players in lead. The clue explained a DAmazing-Race-Cole-LaBrant-RoccoReportetour: Clean or String. With Clean, contestants had to follow an ancient wine making method and properly clean out large clay pots that were underground. Sheri & Cole chose this Detour.

Hoping for the best, Sheri said, “I’m good at cleaning. Please, please let this be Mom skills.”

With high rubber boots, contestant lowered themselves down a ladder into a hole. This mission was done by scooping the grime off the bottom of the pot with gloves and emptying it into a trough.

On the other hand, String meant that teams would make candy called Churchkhela by threading five separate strings of 20 hazelnuts, which would then be dipped in sugar glaze and then hung to dry.

On the way to the Detour, Burnie said, “This is the first time Ashley’s ever passed up wine, ever.”

Other than the gamers, Brodie & Kurt, Zach & Rachel and Scott & Blair completed this task. The problem here was only having four candy making stations available.

Amazing-Race-Brodie-Kurt-RoccoReportTyler & Korey originally chose this Detour, but switched after repeatedly stabbing themselves with the needle. Dana & Matt also switched after the vloggers explained how hard String was.

Brodie referred to it as “bloody fingers 101,” as it seemed to be difficult to get the needle through the hazelnuts without stabbing your fingers.

Zach & Rachel were first to the Roadblock: “Who’s light on their feet?” Here, teams were to learn and perform a dance with the Georgian Ballet. The contestants to perform were Ashley, Kurt, Zach, Korey, Dana, Sheri and Scott.

After, Burnie & Ashley were in the lead and made their way to meet Phil in Rike Park, but ended up in Vake Park.

This mishap put them in second place to finish, as Zach & Rachel beat them to Pit Stop. Brodie & Kurt came in third place, followed by Dana & Matt, Sheri & Cole and Tyler & Korey.

Scott & Blair were last to finish. The father and daughter reflected on the quality time spent together during the Race.

Blair was more successful in her life at the age of fifteen than I was at the age of fifty…” Scott continued, “ You’ve got to be proud to have a daughter like that.”
