After two weeks off from showing The Amazing Race on CBS, viewers are back on track with the remaining teams fighting for first place.

April 1st brought episode six and even more good times with the seven remaining teams. Titled ‘Let the Good Times Roll,’ Tyler & Korey ripped the clue first that told them to fly to Yerevan, Armenia where they would continue to search for the next clue at the Yerevan Opera Theater.Korey-Kuhl-Amazing-Race-RoccoReport

The vloggers ran off through the snowy and dark streets of Chamonix and made their way to a travel agency to book their tickets and then headed to the airport in a shuttle.

Neck-in-neck with Brodie & Kurt..

Tyler said, “I don’t know if it’s in our game plan to sabotage them in any capacity, but it wouldn’t hurt if they messed themselves up.”

Brodie & Kurt left second, followed by Dana & Matt and Scott & Blair. Zach & Rachel left the mat fourth, followed by Burnie & Ashley. Last to leave was Sheri & Cole, but that didn’t put the mother/son team into negative thoughts.

“And we wouldn’t still be in the Race if my mom didn’t encourage me to take the risk.” Cole continued, “We’re both going to kick more butt. We’re getting first this round, easy.”

Upon the teams arrival in Yerevan, everyone sprinted for a taxi ride to the opera theater. The clue directed teams to retrieve their tickets at the box office, which said that the winners of the leg would be given an Express Pass.

“If you can get an edge in even just one challenge, it could make or break you at this point,” Burnie said.

As the teams searched for their next clue, performers danced to Aram Khachaturian’s famous, pace-faced song, which Phil thought was most fitting as contestants were scurrying around searching inside the theater.

Brodie & Kurt – Target on Our Backs

Brodie & Kurt scooted into first place after finding the hidden clue first, which said to search for the Cascade. Once the teams found the 1,000 foot-high staircase, they were to retrieve the next clue at the top.

Back at the theater, Tyler & Korey fell behind after having trouble finding the next clue. They finally realized that it had to be on stage after seeing Zach & Rachel running from that direction.

After making it back down the stairs, Brodie & Kurt ripped the clue, which had a Detour: Thread or Bread. Thread meant that teams would complete a 200 stitch row on an Armenian rug at a nearby carpet factory. The task was completed by Sheri & Cole, Zach & Rachel, Tyler & Korey, Scott & Blair and Dana & Matt.

While Bread was completed by rolling out dough and baking 15 pieces in an underground oven. This Detour was chosen by the other teams, Brodie & Kurt and Burnie & Ashley.

Once the teams completed their Detour, they were given the next clue and sent to Republic Square to catch a bus. The frisbee players knew that an Express Pass was awaiting them at the end of the leg. Behind them was Sheri & Cole, who were proud to be more ahead in the Race than they’ve ever been.

The next clue was a Roadblock called “Who’s feeling drained?” By following instructions in a shop guide in order to change the oil in an old Lada taxi that would be taken to the Pit Stop. The candidates to perform the Roadblock were Kurt, Burnie, Zach, Matt, Scott, Tyler and Sheri.

Sheri-LaBrant-Amazing-Race-RoccoReportSheri ran into some difficulty with the task by using the wrench to tighten the filter, instead of loosening it. In the midst of getting upset, the mother said, “I hate that I’m letting Cole down so badly.”

The mother/son team fell back as the other teams following finished the Pit Stop before she completed it, but Cole continued to root on his mom.

First to get to the mat was Brodie & Kurt, in second place was Burnie & Ashley and third place went to Zach & Rachel. Dana & Matt, Scott & Blair and Tyler & Korey followed.

Sheri & Cole got to the mat and Phil broke the news that they were in last place. He continued, “That’s the bad news. The good news is that you’re still racing.”

In response, Cole said, “We’re excited, we’re grateful for the opportunity.”

After Sheri reflected on her oil change job, and saying that she thought everyone would laugh about not letting blondes change oil, her son said, “We got a chance, and we’re going to give it our all.”
